The man most directly responsible for this twaddle was mortenbo, who did thus
comment on Hardware-Sprite on the night of 27-Oct-97:

I think you should use GET SPRITE instead of GET BOB, im not sure tho

There is a way around this, I think you have to change the palette in the
prefs
for AMOS. If you define the colours 16, 17 or 18 or whatever to the ones you
need, it should work. Try it in direct mode, you'll see the pointer change
colour.
